Fax.com Review 2017

Fax.com is a good service if you're looking for a new, local fax number & not many features. The service offers one reasonably priced fax plan that comes with a 30-day free trial. Compare prices and features of Fax.com's service plan here.

Fax.com offers one very basic Internet fax plan that's easy to use. For $9.99 a month, users get to fax and receive up to 300 pages. The company offers a 30-day trial and customers can choose a local or toll-free number, and local numbers are available in 50 states. Fax.com also has a mobile faxing service, so you can use a laptop or smartphone, although it does not offer a mobile app.

Fax.com allows you to send faxes via email or the web, and files are sent as PDF or TIFF attachments. Users can see a preview before sending faxes, and can store faxes for free in a secure personal account for up to 30 days. After that time, users are charged one cent per day for stored faxes. The company also allows customers to share one account by adding email addresses to grant access.

Fax.com is a subsidiary of Data on Call, a San Diego, California-based company that owns other fax companies including RapidFax, TrustFax, SmartFax and Send2Fax. Data on Call was purchased by j2Global in 2005. j2Global also owns eFax, MyFax, and MetroFax.
